Well, winter is here in full force now. That last blog about the first snow and the zero degree weather was just a teaser. Now we are regularly waking up to below zero temps, there is tons of snow, the river is starting to freeze over, (as Matt described it, it is a moving slushy!), and there is even frost on the INSIDE of the car windows! Here are some pictures of the Big Chill...starting with our backyard, the Kenai River. Looks a lot different now, doesn't it?

Check out this poor guy- he didn't have a hat or a warm enough coat, so he just froze in place. This Alaskan winter business is serious!
Remember this picture? It is from the first week we arrived in Soldotna, at the height of the salmon fishing season.
